Sustainably sourced from the Jalapa region of Guatemala, Cafe del Valle is a blend of coffees from smallholder farmers that showcase the region’s characteristic syrupy body and deep notes of chocolate.

This offering is traceable to individual farms, which operate on a small scale in this part of the country. Producers in this region typically sell cherry to centralized wet mills, which carefully conserve water resources in the area. The coffees are processed carefully on drying patios overlooking the wooded landscape.

Jalapa is distinct from other growing regions of Guatemala: It boasts pine forests scattered across a mountainous landscape, which is teeming with birds and wildlife. It’s perhaps less well known than Guatemala’s more renowned coffee regions – like Antigua and Huehuetenango – but its rich soils and high altitudes are ideal for growing high-quality coffee.
